Job:

We have PT & FT option available to the right candidate.

• Part time option of 9am - 3pm
• Full Time
• Shifts: 7:30-4:30 - 2 days & 9:00-5:30 3 days.
• Experience: Ability to support lead teach in Toddler Classroom
• Rate: $19-$22/hr based on experience and skill level

Who you are:

We are looking for a qualified Preschool/Toddler Teacher to support in the Toddler classroom. This is great option for someone looking for smaller class sizes with less opening hours 7:30-5:30 but who has a passion for working with children.

You will prepare small children aged 15month to 2.9 yrs or up to 5yrs for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. You will be responsible for creating their curriculum with the Lead Teacher.

You will teach them important elements that they will encounter soon after they enter school life. A preschool teacher must have great love and patience for children.

Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate to the next level of education.

My Liberty Kids is a 3 classroom center with an intimate feel and lower class numbers allowing us to provide top-quality care and experience for teachers and children.

Responsibilities

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience as a Preschool or Toddler Teacher
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
• Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
• Certification in child CPR
• BSc/BA in education or relevant field
• Valid licence to practice profession

• CPR / First Aid or willing to complete prior to employment.
• At least 6 months in the role of Teacher
• Available to work - within 7:30-5:30 Monday to Friday.
• With availability to work Braintree 'no school' days

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
